We accept all genres of music: from Hard Rock to Jazz, Experimental to Rap. There is no restriction on the types of music we will accept.
However we only accept bands from the following states and provinces:
If you feel you and your band really need to be on our site, then please submit your band anyway. We still may decide to profile you on our site.
We do not charge a dime for your band to be listed on our site, and get airtime on our streaming radio. We know a lot of bands are hard up for cash...that's why we provide this free service to you. Hosting web sites does cost a bit of money but is much less expensive than typical web hosting outfits. For more info check out the web hosting page.
We do not store audio for the bands we profile because of the limit in file storage we have on our servers. Also, most of the bands profiled have web sites already with audio samples they have provided. We felt it wasn't really necessary to duplicate what they already have going. You can catch them on our streaming station, however.
We get updates from the bands themselves and try to keep the schedule as up to date as possible. But sometimes we cannot get it up in time or the band does not tell us about upcoming events. This is why we are working on having the bands manage their own profile and tour dates, another feature coming very soon.
We run ads because we need at least a small amount of income from the site. Running it costs money, from our time to the costs of co-locating our servers. We do not make very much money off of ads, and the money we do get in from them we usually use it on something to benefit the site. Also, we trade ad banners for free with other sites, which do not bring in any income.
